RESOURCE INVENTORY

RESOURCE INVENTORY: People, Non-Profits, Events and Facilities

One component of the "Empowering Family Health" project is to create a "resource inventory" which highlights local people and leaders, non profit groups, events and facilities that are involved in and /or support food production, food security and /or food system initiatives and agricultural practices in the North Cariboo.

This information will be compiled into a document which will be available as hard copy and online for residents, agencies and organizations to use.  The intent is that this inventory be as complete and thorough as possible.  We anticipate that this will be a living document but to begin with, we are looking for the following:

1. PEOPLE:  who are knowledgeable or mentors who are willing to share, lead and /or present on a topic related to food production and preservation and agricultural practices.

2. NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS: which have a mandate associated with local food production, processing, preservation and /or marketing.

3. EVENTS: that are held in the North Cariboo which bring community together,  showcase and /or celebrate the importance of local food production, food security and agriculture.

4. FACILITIES: that are available for use for food production / preservation.

There is an “Inventory Form” for each of the above categories.  A copy of the applicable Form can be obtained by emailing  empoweringfamilyhealth@gmail.com

DEADLINE TO BE INCLUDED IN RESOURCE INVENTORY: June 20, 2016
